FASTINDEX DICTATION

FastIndex Dictation and Transcription software is the real world solution for medical transcription and dictation. The system integrates PC-based dictation for the exam room and doctor's office, a handheld device for dictation while away from the office, and a transcription system with built-in paperless archiving that works with Microsoft Word.

PC BASED DICTATION

FastIndex includes the features you expect from a full-featured dictation system, including document types and priorities. FastIndex Dictation can integrate with existing PC-based Electronic Medical Records Systems like Management+. Just press the foot pedal while a patient's chart is displayed, and the system automatically indexes the voice file to the patient, eliminating repetition of patient information. When the next patient is selected or the save button is pressed, the sound file is automatically sent to the transcription queue.

FLEXIBLE TRANSCRIPTION SOFTWARE

You don't have to change your word processor or templates to use FastIndex. Our system replaces your existing playback device with foot pedal controlled PC Playback software. The system can be configured to automatically enter patient information into your existing templates in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or any other windows-based word processor.

HANDHELD DICTATION

When flexibility is key, the handheld version of FastIndex is just what the doctor ordered. Just record your dictation on a compatible voice recorder (we recommend the Olympus digital recorder pictured below) and download it whenever you return to the office.

TELEPHONE BASED DICTATION

The FastIndex Dictation can also be connected to a pay-per-use telephone dictation service which delivers sound files to your transcriptionists through a secure internet connection. This fee-for-use service requires no dedicated hardware or expensive maintenance agreements. Seneca Technologies is also developing a full-featured digital telephone dictation system for use by larger operations. This system will allow users to dial into the dictation system when away from the office and record high-quality sound files for transcription.
